Baldwin Park is a mixed-used community of single famiy homes, town houses and rental units with plenty of green space, the ubiquitous (in Orlando) lake, and shady sidewalks with restaurants and stores. It is an example of aNew Urbanism project.
It is truly lovely, built on a former Navy training site that closed in the 1990s, it is in the center of Orlando, only about two miles from Downtown. Despite the high home and rent prices, the community is open to all, no gate, so I took a stroll through there this weekend.
I only regret not being able to afford to live there myself, except perhaps as a renter.
