To get through this quarantine era, I’ve been taking long (solitary) walks. Most recently, I walked down Edgewater Drive, the main street of this neighborhood.
College Park as a residential neighborhood dates back 100 years. Charming homes ranging from bungalows to mansions line the quiet, leafy side streets dotted with lakes.
For me, the most interesting part is the remaining mid-century commercial architecture along Edgewater.
These are few well-maintained examples. College Park in normal times buzzes with shoppers, diners, drinkers and students. It is definitely worth a visit.
Love the architectural style… Art Deco? 1940’s, 50’s?

Me too! The turquoise and Pink buildings are dated 1949. Yes, I believe that Art Deco is the style.
