A Rainy Day in Lower Manhattan

October and November can be gloomy months in New York.  The last week of October certainly was, with five consecutive days of rain and fog.  I was in Lower Manhattan, in the area known as the Seaport one day this week and took some photos.

The rain kept a lot of people inside and this contributed to the mood of the images.  I decided to convert them to black and white because the scenes were already so muted in color.

Here are the edited results.  PS- as I’m writing this the sun is shining bright!  The gloom always passes.
