These are the four words that the Museum of the City of New York uses to describe my city, past to present. We may not be the only metropolis that fits this description but we certainly play it out boldly.
I visited this museum today because I always enjoy it, but also because I was interested in the current exhibit of photography by noted filmmaker Stanley Kubrick. As a very young an in the late 1940s and early 1950s, Kubrick worked as a photographer for Look magazine. His street and editorial photography of that period is fascinating. I recommend a visit to the Museum to see it. Kubrick had chutzpah…guts!
