Prospect Heights

Detail, multi-story Art Deco windows gracing the interior of the Brooklyn Public Library

20170630_152609The next in my series of Brooklyn neighborhoods is Prospect Heights.  Bordered by Park Slope on one side and Crown Heights on the other, Prospect Heights is storybook Brooklyn.

A row of Brooklyn Brownstones, beautifully preserved

It has genteel brownstones, a grand European-style Avenue (Eastern Parkway), Prospect Park, akin to Manhattan’s Central Park, a monumental arch (Grand Army Plaza) and three other great institutions known far and wide: the Brooklyn Museum, Brooklyn Botanical Garden and the Brooklyn Public Library central branch.

It’s a must-see area!  It also has plenty of local color.  Here’s more from NYCgo.

Let me know if you’re enjoying this series with a comment.  Thank you!
